Arts And Crafts Trail
In August over 150 exhibitors take part in more than 60 venues with lots of opportunity to talk to them and purchase their work. You can even make or paint something yourself to take home or leave as part of a group creation, as workshops have become a popular feature. Refreshments are available in many venues.

The Galloway Children's Festival in July is an important and eagerly awaited event in Kirkcudbright's ever-increasing collection of summertime events. With all kinds of entertainment for children of all ages including story-telling, music, play-acting, clowns and rides there is plenty to hold their attention and fascination over the day

Come along to the Cocoabean for a day full of fun for all the family. A fantastic visitor attraction where kids make chocolate creations in our interactive workshops and explore the indoor play areas, outdoor play areas and soft play

Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities
Scottish Nights on Thursday Nights in July and August
Held in the Harbour Square, a natural arena in the middle of town, the night features traditional Scottish Pipe music from our award winning Kirkcudbright and District Pipe Band supported by the Stewartry Area Wind Band and Galloway Pipers, Scottish Country Dancers, Highland Dancers and other traditional entertainment. 7pm - 8.30pm. And best of all - ENTRY IS FREE.
Floodlit Tattoo - August Bank Holiday Weekend.
A spectacular event featuring massed bands, Highland and Country Dancers
plus a whole cast of entertainers, culminating with a firework display.
Starts at 7.30pm - 10.30pm

The Wickerman Festival
In July - The festival takes its inspiration from the 70s cult movie , filmed in Dumfries & Galloway, which climaxes with the burning of a giant wickerman.
